Hey guys, it's Gabby, your audiobook-hating voice actor and coach. But wait a second, do I actually hate audiobooks? Hmm, things are changing by the pricking of my thumbs. Something wicked this way comes. Stick around.

All right, guys, it's a little spooky. It's a new day. I'm even a little scared. I'm gonna admit it. If you follow this channel, if you have been with me for a while now, you have heard me at some point talk about my dislike of the audiobook genre. Let's get down to the truth. Why do I hate them so much? Because they're time-consuming. They are, in my opinion, a time suck for my business. That's a major no-no. Okay, I am a New Yorker at heart. I have been in the Carolinas a really long time, but man, New York never leaves. If it's not quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, fast, fast, fast, I lose interest. Okay, it's just not in my nature. A project that takes that many hours and that much time and that much energy, I could be doing so many other things with my life. However, things are changing.

This is absolutely, without a doubt, a shameless plug of a video. It is to introduce you to what could quite possibly be something that will change your voice-over career for the good, infinitely for the rest of your career. We are on the cusp of something phenomenal, and that is Pozotron. Pozotron.com is where you're gonna go to learn more about them or any of their socials or their YouTube channel. Their YouTube channel is actually a really great resource.

Pozotron is an AI-based tool that is literally changing the game on all of the things that I just mentioned about audiobooks that I cannot stand. It decreases the amount of time, energy, workload, and effort that it takes to get your recorded files completed and out the door. How much so? Well, so much so that I have actually pledged that I am going to start going after some audiobook opportunities. But again, the thing I want you to remember right now is this is me, Gabby, saying yes, I'm going to engage audiobooks. I never thought I would say that, and Pozotron is the only reason that I'm willing to do it because, for the first time, I see something that has the potential to actually make this process lucrative, and that's a mind-blower, right?

This is a company that uses what they call an accuracy checking algorithm. Okay, and what it does is it catches mistakes and it acts as a proofer that is foolproof to help you get to the place where you can deliver the material so much faster than you would by manually proofing your material. And this way, you can focus on your performance and the actual artistry of voice acting and not the doldrums of pronunciations and proofreading and catching mistakes and doing pickups and having to put markers in your audio and all of the other mind-numbingly slow things that make an audiobook terrible.

If you do long-form projects of any kind, check these guys out. If you're already doing books, holy, you need this. This is not making you absolutely have to have this in your arsenal. I'm going to tell you what I said to my staff. The minute that I was introduced to Pozotron, this company, in my opinion, has the ability to be as important in the voiceover toolkit as iZotope. And if you know iZotope, I mean, it's the standard, right, for audio editing and for basically post-production sweetening. This is the same type of thing. Everyone should have it.
